Timothy Ryan O'Neil A Mass will be celebrated Tuesday at 10:30 a.m. at St. Patrick's Church in Arroyo Grande for Timothy (Tim my) Ryan O'Neil, 19, of Arroyo Grande, who died Friday at a San Luis Obispo hospital due to a heart condition. Fr. Ron Shirley will officiate. O'Neil was a lifelong resident of Arroyo Grande. He attended St. Patrick's School and graduated from Arroyo Grande High School, where he was active in 4-H and Future Farmers of America. He also attended Cal Poly, where he was active in the Rodeo Club. Survivors include his parents, Mary and Dennis O'Neil; brothers, Denny, Kevin and James, and sister Terri, all of Arroyo Grande; grandparents Don and Bertha Buckley of Nipomo, and Kay O'Neil of Santa Barbara. ' Friends may visit from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Monday at the Lady Family Mortuary in Arroyo Grande.

He was my neighbor and we knew him practically his whole life. He was born with a heart condition. He and his family are the sweetest people you'd ever meet. Too sad. :(

I remember when we lost to Sierra in the 1990 CIF playoffs. Tim was more distraught than most of us. He truly had a passion for his school and may I one day hear that soft voice rage for AGHS.

I remember Tim's enthusiam for the things he loved doing. I remember how telling Timmy he couldn't do something was a sure fire way for him to prove you wrong. I was blessed to have known him and his whole family!
