She passed away from health complications of diabetes.
Susan Bowdish Godfrey, 53, of Arroyo Grande, passed away on Tuesday, July 25, 2006. A memorial service will be held at 12 p.m. on Sunday, July 30, 2006, at the Oceano Train Depot, 1650 Front St. (Highway 1) in Oceano. Susan Lynn Bowdish was born in San Luis Obispo on June 24, 1953. She was a life-long resident of the South County. Suz was very athletic as a young girl and loved softball, water skiing and gardening. After graduating from Arroyo Grande High School, she attended Santa Barbara Business College and worked as a bookkeeper at Arroyo Grande Hospital and the San Luis Medical Clinic. She is survived by her husband, John Godfrey; two sons, John and Jayme; father Dan Bowdish and step-mother Carolyn; brothers, Steve and Scott Bowdish and numerous family and life-long friends. Susan was preceded in death by her mother Peggy and grandparents Peggy and Glen Hensley.
