I remember Shawn so fondly. I grew up on the same block as Shawn although he was a few years older than me. He was always so nice and a great believer in GOD. I remember he was once doing a paper for school and he came to my house to see my record collection to see if I had any that if played backwards would say something bad. I think it was for a paper on how there is some satanic influence in the music industry. Anyway, he was always such a great guy and so nice to me even though I was a little kid. Miss you Shawn. I was so sad when I heard that you had passed.

I am so sorry to hear about Shawn .He and I were good friends during my Junior and Senior year I graduated class of 82. I dated his friend Richard Zorn . Shawn was so much fun to be around I can't remember a single time when he didn't have me rolling on the floor laughing. He new how to make light of any situation. He and I continued to keep in contact during his first couple years in college down in Irvine. He would come up to Redondo Beach and hang out at my dads beach house. I had lost touch when I moved to Park City Utah. I think he was one of the nicest most considerate people I ever had the privillage to know. I have missed his fun , humerous ways and was trying to located him only to find out of his passing. He had quite a gift of making people laugh . I will truely miss him . Dena Doyle

It’s nice to see the good memories from those who knew my uncle. He took me everywhere with him whenever I was in town. His friends were always Good to me and fun to be around. I do remember one of them used to call me Spock because of my ears 😂 those were great memories in my early childhood years. It was very painful to lose him. He was an awesome uncle. Thanks for the nice comments. I retired from the Marines in 2016 after 24 years of service and spent the last five years in the Marines at Camp Pendleton and lived in San Clemente 2011-2016. Coincidentally my daughter went to Saddleback community college where Shawn died. My son is 26 and is 3 years older than Shawn was when he died. My sons name is also Shawn Andrew Crofts. My dad, Ron, died February 3, 2017, almost exactly 30 years after Shawn’s death. If anyone who remembers seeing me with Shawn or just knew Shawn and wants to connect, you can email me at [email protected].
