Raymond Harold Biven, along with his twin sister Faye, was born on December 27, 1945 in Santa Maria, Ca. A life long resident of the Central Coast his life came to an untimely end at the young age of 62 at his Arroyo Grande home on Sunday, June 29, 2008. Better known as Ray, he graduated from Arroyo Grande High School, class of 1964. He was a veteran of the Vietnam War serving a tour of duty. A hard and dedicated employee, his adherence was to Hilyard Concrete for more than the past two decades of his life. Ray married Debra Coy in 1974 and had 3 handsome sons, Mike, Danny, & Stuart Biven. Ray was a loving, caring, & devoted father and grandfather to his sons and all 12 of his grandchildren. His unselfish benevolence & allegiance was an irreplaceable gift to all who were blessed to have known him. He will be missed unmeasurably by his family & friends. Ray is preceded in death by his mother and father Sarah & Alfred Hampton of Arroyo Grande. His twin sister Faye Jones of Arroyo Grande and younger brother Dick Jones of Atascadero. He is survived and eternally remembered by his siblings Mike Biven of Lompoc, Gary Biven of Oakdale, Charlotte Holloway of San Miguel, and Sheila Gable of Arroyo Grande, his three sons , Mike, Danny, & Stuart Biven and all 12 of his grandchildren: Leeann, Ashley, Nikholas-Stuart, Michael, Dustin, Daniel, Sahvannah-Jean, Tyler, Mckenna, Joseph, Savannah and Blair Biven. From his 3 sons as well as his daughter Shonette, from his first marriage and her 3 children. The eminence & profound sorrow & vast emptiness we feel since we have lost you much too soon. Never to be forgotten, eternally loved & in our hearts you shall always be. Love your sons, daughter in laws & grandchildren. "Thank you for all you have taught and done for us. The memories we made with you will keep us close to you always." Services will be held on Friday July 11th, at 11:00am at the Light House Church on Fair Oaks Drive in Arroyo Grande by High School.
