1985-2006

Paul Andrew Wikholm, 21, of Nipomo, passed away Wednesday, Dec. 27.
Paul was born on April 21, 1985 in Orange, California and had been an area resident for 17 years. He graduated from Arroyo Grande High School in 2003 and did his undergraduate studies at UC San Diego, graduating Phi Beta Kappa in June. He was currently a first year medical student at the University of Texas Southwestern in Dallas.
Paul enjoyed surfing, cooking, photography, dancing and had been a member of the UCSD varsity swim team. Paul was always happy, and smiling, he lived his life with incredible exuberance and passion. He had amazing talent in everything he did.
A very special person, he was loved and respected by everyone who knew him. He will always be an inspiration to his family and friends.
He is survived by his parents Richard Wikholm and Elizabeth Szekely
Wikholm of Nipomo; sisters Lauren and Kristen Wikholm and brother Erik Wikholm all of Nipomo; grandparents, Sylvia and Duane Wikholm of Ventura and Ilona and Andrew Szekely of Yorktown Heights, NY; and many aunts, uncles and cousins.
Arrangements are under the direction of Marshall-Spoo Sunset Funeral Chapel in Grover Beach. Published in Santa Maria Times on December 30, 2006

I will never forget the CheMystery labs with Paul and his broken bunsen burner - Bunsen. And when he left chemistry lab with the goggles and apron on.
