Mary Jean Doll

MONTEREY, CA – Mary Jean Doll, 81, died peacefully at her home with family on Thursday, December 19, 2013 and will be greatly missed.
Mary Jean was born in 1932 in Maricopa, California, the daughter of Floyd and Lucille Doll. She was a graduate of Arroyo Grande High School and attended Cuesta College before marrying Ron C. Meredith and moving to Monterey. She was the long time bookkeeper and personal assistant for Charles E. Jacobson of Pebble Beach.
Mary Jean Doll was a strong woman in a petite frame. She was well put together, beautiful and loved to dance. Mary Jean lived a life loyal to her daughters, family and work. She was a model of commitment, consistency, and care as she lived quietly behind the lives of those she loved. She nurtured and brought her strength, putting others before herself.
She called those who cared for her, angels, during her fight with cancer and was grateful for the care they provided.
Mary Jean is survived by her four daughters: Cathy Meredith, Salinas, CA; Colleen White, Monterey; Cynthia (Vince) Restivo, Larkspur, CO; and Christine Meredith, Monterey; six grandchildren: Stephanie (Hano) Saise, Chico, CA; Brandon Glazebrook, Salinas; Jeffrey (Kathleen) White, Phoenix, AZ; Jason (Jennifer) Restivo, Savannah, GA; Jennifer (Richard) Tucker, Clovis, NM; Kathryn (Adam) Dodson, NSW, Australia; eight great grandchildren: Alex and Sean Saise, Carlie and Kaylie White, Vivian Restivo, and Grace, Audrey and Michael Tucker; her sister, Carol Anne Doty, Arroyo Grande, CA; and four brothers, Jack Doll, Tucson, AZ; Tom Doll, Arroyo Grande; David Doll, Lincoln, NE; and Eddie Doll, Paso Robles, CA.
