MARLENE ANNETTE SALINAS 1960-2005 On Friday morning June 10, 2005 the Lord received in heaven Marlene Annette Salinas, 45 of Orcutt. Services will be held on Wednesday, June 15, 2005 at the St. Peter's Episcopal Church at Cookf and Lincolnl commencing at, 1:00. Graveside services at the! Santa Maria 1 Cemetery will be t held immediately after the church ceremony. A celebration of her life will then be held at the Elk's Lodge beginning at 4:00. A loving and caring mother, a devoted and adoring wife, and wonderful friend Marlene was born on February 26, 1960 in Houston Texas. She grew up in Nipomo and graduated from Arroyo Grande High School in 1978, and later Questa College with an A.A. degree, Marlene worked in retail most of her life first at Nobby's in the mall then on to Clothestime as a store manager and later as a district manager for 10 years. After taking some time off to be with her three beautiful children, Jacqueline, Jacob and Josselyn, she returned to retail as district manager for Styles For Less then most recently ended her career in the banking industry. She enjoyed taking summer vacations with her family, Disneyland being one of their most favorite destinations. Monterey was another much loved spot her and her husband, Ernie, would visit several times a year, she was very active in all of her children's sports and dance activities and helped out at every opportunity in her children's classrooms and their schools PTA. Marlene is survived by her husband of almost 17 years Ernest, her three children, Jacqueline, Jacob, and Josselyn, her sisters Michele Racusin of Clovis, Marilyn Scott of San Luis Obispo, Maureen Smith of Paradise Valley, Nevada and nine nieces and nephews. In Lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Marlene Salinas Benefit at any Mid-State Bank location. Arrangements are under the direction of - Dudley-Hoffman . Mortuary and Crematory.

Another Primavera Lane alumni. She and her sisters were my next door neighbors for much of my childhood. Older than I, but I remember them fondly. Their mom passed away when they were young, but dad Bill did a wonderful job raising these beautiful, bright, and witty ladies. RIP
