She was alot of fun to hang with. Her 57 chevy with the electrical short. We'd go to the gas station and the guys that worked there alway had to push start her and she always forgot to turn the key on and they have to push her around the station again.

I would like to thank whoever posted this picture of my sister, thank you for acknowledging her life. It is such a good feeling knowing she wont be forgotten, Thank you.

For those that did'nt know, Leann curcame to her battle with addiction. A battle that started when she was only 8 yrs old. To be excact, it was Aug 14, 1973 the day our mom died suddenly from an accidental overdose. The emotional pain and trama she suffered from that day forward is what drove her to substance abuse. It was the only way she knew to deal with the pain. We tried to help Leann, but the thought of opening those wounds was more than she could bare.

Barrying my sister was by far the saddest day of my life. Thank you to all who supported me during this tough time. It really ment a lot, and thank you again for remembering Leann.

Leann & I first met each other as toddlers in SLO – I lived on Garcia Street and her family lived on the adjacent (Los Osos Valley Rd)
Her mother Carol was beautiful (blonde with a streak – before it was cool) and made the best muffins – Little Robert was a red head little kid – they had bunk beds which we would toss him off from.
I recall a very large grey dog that used to jump on everyone – he lived on the left side of the house- from the garage. Her dad always was working on a car in the driveway.
My family moved from SLO to AG – and soon they moved south after her mother died.
Leann stayed with us during their transition for a week – Robert was with his grandparents.
Growing up in AG – Leann had a charge account at JJ’s Food Mart in old arroyo- we used to charge so much candy and soda during our Jr. High – her dad freaked when he got their monthly bill.
How I miss our fun times – during high school our close friend Denise Smith who owned a Green VW Bug drove us out to a party at Big Falls/Little Falls – oh my gawd, her brakes went out after we crossed the creek bed – and we crashed into a hill – but we made it to the party.
Leann was a dear friend – granted we fought like sisters – and yes she had the first car in our group of friends – the Big Yellow Beast.
But a day doesn’t go by that I don’t think “What could have – should’ve “

I remember Leann and I were going to write a book about the things we did when we where young. I think about her a lot . I think she is free of all the pain she was in . I will never forget you.

I knew her pretty well. She was dating my good friend at the time. I have been out of the loop for many years but am extremely saddened to hear of her passing! We had an amazing time back then! God rest her soul.
