Kathie Ann Alvarez
1945-2010
Kathie Ann Alvarez was born on August 27, 1945 in Harrisburg, PA to Edward and Meta Lytle. Kathie moved to California when she was a teenager and attended Arroyo Grande High School and graduated from Santa Maria High School in 1963. Kathie was a licensed cosmetologist and thru out her career worked for The Tropicana, Raggedy An's and Joseph's Salon. Kathie then went on to own and operate The Clip Joint. As of recently she worked at Sears.
Kathie is survived by her children Christine Escobedo and Eddie and Suzette Alvarez. Her grandchildren Jesse, Manuel, Matthew, Christopher, Sydney, Sara, Casey and Connor, as well as her younger sister Meta.
Kathie was loved by everyone who knew her and her pride in her children was only exceeded by seeing her grandchildren. She has gone to heaven and will be missed by her family.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Angel Food Ministry at Pacific Christian Center, 3435 Santa Maria Way, Santa Maria, CA 93455, (805) 934-1253.
The Memorial Service will be held Thursday, July 29, 2010 from 5:30 – 7:00 at Pacific Christian Center.
