We grew up in Shell Beach together. I remember going to her house with Tracy Caspo. She was just the nicest girl and so much fun to be around. I'll never forget the day I heard she died. It was, and still is, so hard to believe she died so young.

I will always remember the first time I met Julie. We were stuck being "towel girls" at Judkins. She was able to make an uncomfortable situation tolerable with her smile and sense of humor. Haven't met many other people who was able to do that.

She was such a pretty young lady. I remember it was a very sad day , even for those who didnt know her that well. I had her in one of my classes. Does anyone know if her brother stayed in the area?

My sister Kelli was very good friends with Julie. I remember the news being on while we were getting ready for school and Traci yelled to Kelli to come see what was on. I don't remember her exact reaction I just remember she was DEVASTATED. My heart hurts thinking of the people that loved her and that hurt over her.... you know how you are!

I had 1 class with Julie when I was a freshman at AGHS. She was so nice to me even though I was just a freshman and she was an experienced HS student! She had such a gorgeous smile and left a beautiful everlasting impression.

It is so strange that I stumbled across this page. I met Julie in pre-school, and we went to school together until I moved to NorCal in 1985. We kept in touch after I moved, and I would see her each summer when I would return to Shell Beach to visit family.
My mom called me at work when she heard the news. It was just so absolutely devastating. The strangest part of all was that I received a letter from her the day after I learned of her passing. It was absolutely surreal. In her letter she told me how happy she was in her life. I hope for those people who were in her everyday life at that time, that it is comforting to know that she was in a happy place.
Julie was a truly beautiful person inside and out.

I just found this post and my heart is so happy, but yet taken back to the time of Brian's phone call telling me he had lost his best friend, his sister Julie. I met Brian and his family in Idaho. They had a summer cabin at Lake Chatcolette on the south end of Lake Coeur d'Alene. What an amazing family and the absolute best times. Julie was the most beautiful girl I had ever seen inside and out. I remeber being in awe of her. I stil today am trying to find her brother as we lost touch over the years. I am a better person today for knowing the Carlson family, Julie included.
