Joseph John Cabassi, 50, was
born in San Luis Obispo, and resided in Arroyo  Grande until he made his home in

Joey was a member of the Fire Safe Council of SLO County, SLO County Range
Improvement Association and the Arroyo Grande High School FFA.  Joey was a
true humanitarian who spent his life and weekends helping others. He  was
known throughout the community as a master BBQ'er for numerous  fundraisers and
charities, and worked tirelessly to improve the world  around him.  Joey is
survived by his father, Charlie; mother, Sandra;  brother, Mike; sisters Carol
and Shelly; brother-in-laws Curt and Brian; niece, Jessica; nephews Darrell,
Charlie and James; and great niece  Alyssa.  Viewing will be from 4 to

of Life to follow at  the Loomis Barn, 8451 Huasna Road in Arroyo Grande.
In lieu of flowers, Joey wished that donations would be made in his memory to
