John Arthur Visser, 67, was born in The Hague, Holland, emigrated to Arroyo Grande in 1954, and went home to be with his Lord Jesus Christ Sunday, Nov. 24, 2013, in Sarasota, Fla. John attended local Arroyo Grande schools, the Music Academy of the West, Salzburg Mozarteum and Juilliard School of Music. He was an exceptionally talented pianist and Musical Director whose career took him all over the world, the highlight of which was Camelot on Broadway. His hobbies included Disneyana, movies, theater and the out-of-doors. He enjoyed spending time with family and friends, whose lives he touched with his music and faith. John is survived by his mother, Annie; and brothers Ernest (Margaret) and Louis (Wendy). There will be a celebration of John's life at 1 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 25, 2014, at the Marshall-Spoo Sunset Funeral Chapel, 1239 Longbranch in Grover Beach.
