Jack Patrick Missamore
Jack Patrick Missamore, 78, of Grover Beach, passed away Sunday, June 29, 2014. He was born in April 1936 in Taft, Calif. and had lived in Grover Beach since 1952, graduating from Arroyo Grande High School in 1955. Jack was a member of Operating Engineers Local 12, and was a backhoe operator with Alex Madonna Construction and Burke Construction and others for 38 years. He loved life and his family. Jack and Patricia have especially enjoyed their retirement and friends from their neighborhood and beyond. Everyone loved Jack and will miss him and his humor. Jack is survived by his wife of 61 years, Patricia; children Steven Missamore, Randy Missamore (Kerri), and Debra Loomis (Stephen); eleven grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren; and brothers Jerry Missamore (Mary) of Grover Beach and Woody Missamore (Carmen) of Taft. He was preceded in death by his parents Lena and Herbert Missamore and six siblings. A graveside service will be held at 11 a.m. Monday, July 7, 2014, at the Arroyo Grande Cemetery. Memorials may be directed to Central Coast Hospice.
