My precious nephew, my heart breaks as yet another birthday has passed. Thinking of how you would be celebrating and telling everyone how you only have 1 more year to go until your big 21!! And how it only seems like yesterday we were celebrating your 4th . I cant begin to explain how much I miss your smile, your laugh and your voice!! I love you my Gabby to the moon and back!! Happy birthday baby boy! Xoxox

I had the honor of working with Gabriel as his Social Studies teacher when he was in both the 7th and 10th grades. Gabriel treated others with respect and lived his life with dignity and integrity. I was deeply saddened to learn of the senseless tragedy that cut his blossoming life short and am grateful to have found a platform through which I can finally extend my deepest condolences to his family and friends. Gabriel was beloved and respected amongst students and staff alike and he remains sorely missed.

I never knew Gabriel personally but I remember hearing about the tragedy when I was in high school. Living in Oceano was different after what happened to him. It's been about 12 years now but the wound of having lost someone so close to my age in my hometown still haunts/hurts.
He will never be forgotten.

I was literally JUST reminiscing over a childhood memory, 9th grade, at Arroyo Grande Highschool and Gabe was right there with all of us. We were in the same grade and had a few of the same classes. We had quite a few of the same friends. He was a great classmate and friend to all of us. He’ll never be forgotten. Happy Birthday Gabriel. RiP
