I forgot about the Pismo Cougars roller hockey team. I met Wayne in the late 70s when my sister worked there and I got to skate for free. I went to Judkins with him. I believe he died from a brain tumor in the early 90s.

I also went to Judkins and high school with Wayne, we had fun teasing each other. Sad his life was short.

ha ha...Kirk, really? a thousand? more like 10 thousand! ha ha!! I remember him too, handed me my skates too. like thousands of times. There was a girl that worked there and her name was "Belinda" I thought that was the best name in the whole world. I used to wish it was my name. she could skate backwards really good! RIP Wayne.

Wayne was a great guy. Pismo Skating Rink was the BOMB...our parents would drop us off there and leave us for HOURS and we all loved it! 4 corners game, limbo, cone races, couples only skate..great memories and Wayne was always cool and would sometimes "hook me up" with the white wheel hockey skates so I could be "cool". RIP Wayne.

Seeing Wayne's picture really brought back some great memories. I was very saddened by his passing. He was a sweet, sensitive, fun-loving kid. His parents were great hosts on the many times I stayed over at their house. Wayne had the first video game I every played---Pong. He was an awesome hockey player.

Wayne..I totally remember him, the rink, and the huge crush he had on me. He was always a gentlemen. His smile could light up a room. The rink wasn't the same after he grew up and left. I am sad.

RIP Wayne...I spent so much time at the skating rink in Pismo. Wayne handed me skates many times also Kirk... He lived up in the Heights...when Susie Steck and myself missed the bus, there was good ol' wayne, in this hot rod, to give us a ride. God Bless you brother...you will always be missed.

I used to tease Wayne from time to time but he was always a nice guy and really gentile. So sorry to hear that you have passed, Wayne. I'm blessed to have known such a sweet spirit. You were always so nice.

I was totally shocked to see that Wayne had passed away. He was a very kind soul with a sweet(yet mischievious)grin. He always had a way to make me smile, and make school more enjoyable.I will forever be thankful for having the blessing to know him. Rest in Peace, my friend.

Wayne was a great guy. I remember the craziness Brent Foresee and I had with him in the ski club and at the rink. Wayne was struggling with brain tumor issues there for a while and lost in the end.
