Christopher Paul Giambalvo ARROYO GRANDE Christopher Paul Giambalvo, 18, died Friday, June 12, 1987, at his residence. Graveside services were held at 10 a.m. Tuesday in die Arroyo Grande Cemetery. Monsignor James Matron of St. Josephs Catholic Church of Nipomo officiated. Christopher was born Nov. 20, 1968 in Santa Maria and has been a lifelong resident of Arroyo Grande. He graduated from St. Patricks Elementary School in 1982 and from Arroyo Grande High School in 1986. While at Arroyo Grande High School he was the junior class treasurer and manager for the varsity football, track and soccer teams. He worked summers for the city of Arroyo Grande, Taco Bell and Carls Jr. He is survived by his parents Peter and Mary Giambalvo, one sister, Tara Giambalvo, his grandparents Peter J. and Elvira Giambalvo and Tom and Cora Higdon, all of Arroyo Grande and numerous aunts and uncles. Memorial donations may be made to the Christopher Giambalvo Memorial Fund, co Mid-State Bank, Arroyo Grande. Services were under the direction of the Wood-Voakes Mortuary of Arroyo Grande.
