Chantelle Clark-Baker passed away after a long struggle with cancer Friday, April 26, 2013, at her home, at the age of 49 and a day. She was born in Bellflower, Calif., to Donald M. Clark and Judith (Tunnel) Clark. She had two brothers, Matt and Ryan, and a sister, Shannon. Chantelle moved to the Central Coast and attended Arroyo Grande High School, where she was a gymnast, cheerleader and all around student. She was Deli Manager at JJ's Market until her illness kept her from her job. She loved to interact with her customers '? many who came in to see her daily. Chantelle was extremely smart. She loved to watch medical shows, Animal Planet and Discovery, and took that knowledge and applied it to her painting, gardening and her love for animals and people. She had a great spirit, sense of humor, wonderful laugh and a bright light that we all loved to be around. Chantelle was married to Bruce Baker for 13 wonderful years. She loved to spend time with her step-daughters, Cassie and Tiana, and grandson, Maddox. She also had two daughters, Breanna, who lives locally, and Cassandra, who passed at birth. Breanna was Chantelle's greatest joy. She loved the times spent with her, and wished there could have been more. We will miss you Channie. A garden party in Channie's garden will be begin at 5 p.m., with food at 7 p.m., Saturday, May 18, 2013, at the Baker residence. Call 710-2297 for details In lieu of flowers, memorials, to offset expenses during her long term illness, may be sent to Chantelle Clark-Baker, 2340 Huasna Road, Arroyo Grande, CA 93420.

Not a day goes by that I don't think of my dear friend and beloved angel, Chantelle. I know she is with me in spirit yet I still miss her, especially the sound of her laugh. I'm pretty sure she was hanging out with me the other day in the form of a monarch butterfly that hung around with me for some time in the yard. Her body is gone, but love is eternal <3
