She was born in San Luis Obispo in January 1990 to Tawny Martel and Ron Labrie, the granddaughter of Stormi Martel and Rick Martel. Ashley graduated from Arroyo Grande High School in 2008 and attended Allan Hancock Community College. She was a shift leader at Splash Cafe in Pismo Beach, where she made many friends and brightened the faces of many people with her sweet smile and contagious laugh. Ashley is survived by her parents, Tawny Martel and Ron Labrie; stepfather, Ronnie Dewitt; and grandparents: Stormi Martel and Rick Martel. Ashley's funeral will be held at 1 p.m. Monday, July 1, 2013, at the St Barnabas' Episcopal Church, 301 Trinity Ave. in Arroyo Grande. Funeral donations can be made at Splash Cafe, Hoagies, Red Dirt Coffee House, and any local Rabobank. Marshall-Spoo 489-5552 Grover Beach

I will never forget the night we decided to go skinny dipping in the ocean at 12am during a senior bonfire. She was always the life of the party everywhere she went.
