Amy Marie Stricklin Middleton, 41, died Friday, April 25, 2014 in Asheville, NC, after a lifelong battle with heart disease. She was our walking miracle.

A native of Torrance, CA, Mrs. Middleton was a daughter of George Stricklin of Nipomo, CA, and of the late Vickie Tilley.

Amy was a loving wife and a wonderful friend. She was an avid reader and loved spending hours connecting with her friends and family on Facebook. She enjoyed cooking, particularly her signature meatballs she learned from her father. She also enjoyed collecting "Tinker Bell" paraphernalia.

Amy will be missed and celebrated each time the car heads for Kissimmee, FL, a place she dearly loved.

In addition to her father, George Stricklin, and step-mother, Terri, Amy is survived by her husband, James William Middleton; brother, Robbie Stricklin; half-siblings, Natalie Stricklin, James Allen, and Tony Allen; her nurturing grandmother, Zelma A. Tilley; grandfather, Richard; aunt, Rose Shuler, uncle, Denton Tilley, and other aunts and uncles; four nieces and two nephews.

Amy's family will receive friends from 3:00 to 5:00 p.m. Saturday, May 3 at Groce Funeral Home on Patton Avenue, Asheville, NC.

My prayers go out to Amy's family. Just know she's dancing with Angels now. I will never forget her kindness or that beautiful never ending smile.
