Alfred Dewey Kenney was born July 1, 1944 to Joanne and Alfred Dewey Garrett Sr. in Jackson, Mississippi. He moved to Pismo Beach with his mother at a young age. He graduated from Arroyo Grande High School in 1962 where he participated in baseball and track. Al served as an Army Sergeant for 2 years during the Vietnam era. He worked in for Lockheed Corp in LA as a construction engineer retiring back to Pismo Beach where he kept busy doing maintenance work for many area hotels and St. Pauls Catholic Church. He passed on January 26, 2017 and is survived by son Nate Kenney, daughter Anji Brown, their mother Joann Kenney, his aunt Kathleen Truvillion, grandchildren Naiya Kenney, Adrianna & Tre' Brown, Alyssa, Elexix & Idrique Carmichael and numerous cousins, nieces and nephews and many friends.
