Samuel Polino ARROYO GRANDE - A funeral service will be held tomorrow (Thursday) at 10 a.m. at the Landmark Missionary Baptist Church, 1220 Farroll Road in Arroyo Grande, for Samuel Polino, 18. Officiating at the service will be the Rev. James Roberts and interment will follow at the Arroyo Grande District Cemetery. Serving as casket bearers will be Bob Gallop, Jim Brisco, Dave Koch, Tim Brawner, Arron Brush and Russell Duncan. Mr. Polino was born in Buffalo, New York on Feb. 6,1961 and died on Friday, Oct.19,1979. He came to Arroyo Grande from San Francisco in 1970 and attended Oceanview and Orchard Schools and graduated from Arroyo Grande High School last June. He was currently enrolled at Cal Poly, majoring in mathematics. He participated in the Youth Football program and also participated in Little League, American Legion and High School baseball programs. He is survived by his parents, Sebastian and Dorothy Polino of Arroyo Grande; two brothers, Joseph Polino and Steven Polino of Arroyo Grande; one sister, Marylee Polino of Arroyo Grande; paternal grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Anthony Polino of Simi Valley; maternal grandmother, Mrs. Helen Wisiewski of Buffalo, New York and by many aunts, uncles and cousins. Memorials in his honor may be sent to the Landmark Missionary Baptist Church Building Fund, 1220 Farroll Road, Arroyo Grande, Calif. 93420. Funeral arrangements are under the direction of the Sunset Funeral Chapel in Grover City where friends may call until 8 p.m. tonight (Wednesday).
