Phil Ryan passed away at home on May 4,2010, in Atascadero, Ca. He was born February 27, 1953 to Toni and Bill Ryan in Yakima, Washington. The family moved to Arroyo Grande Ca. in 1956. Phil attended school in Arroyo Grande graduating from AG High in 1971. After graduating Phil began working in the drywall business. He later got his contractors license and opened Ryan Contstruction. His company built many beautiful, custom homes in this county and in Apple Valley, Ca. In the last few years Phil was designing a computer program for the home building industry.
Phil is survived by his mother Toni Koster, his sister Randy Ryan-Ramos and his nephew Brandon Ramos of Paso Robles. He is also survived by niece Courtney Ramos,(Randall Ramos) ,sisters Sondra Sparks, Nonie Greenwell, Lynne Koster-Duckworth, and brother Paul Pendleton and their families. His Aunt Marge Dal Porto is his sole surviving aunt. He is survived by many cousins, wonderful friends, and neighbors that he cared for very much. His kids as he called them, (pets) Buddy and Lucky will miss him very much.
Phil was proceeded in death by his father Bill Ryan, Grace Ryan, and brother-in law Roger Greenwell, as well as many aunts, uncles and both sets of his grandparents.
A celebration of Phil's life will be held on Saturday June 5, 2010 at 11:00 A.M at the Arroyo Grande Cemetary. In honor of Phil please dress casual and comfortable and feel free to wear your flip -flops. A reception will follow at the First United Methodist Church on Halcyon Road.
Arrangements are under the direction of Kuehl-Nicolay Funeral Home in Paso Robles, Calif.
