Marc Lundgren
Marc Lundgren, age 61, passed away at his home in Arroyo Grande on September 4, 2011 of a heart attack. He spent the last 23 months at home and in and out of the hospital as the result of an auto accident and his mother, Mary Lundgren, became his principal helper.
Marc was a native of Santa Maria and attended Santa Maria schools. Upon graduation, he went to San Francisco and studied to become a dental technician but later became a carpenter so that he could work out doors. He loved carpentry and was employed by the Lucia Mar School District in the maintenance department until he retired in 2010.
Marc was preceded in death by his father, Lester M. Lundgren Jr. in 2001 and Aunt Chrystal Grabil. He is survived by his daughters Stevie Lee Lundgren of Massachusetts and Bailey Jean Lundgren of San Diego; mother Mary Lundgren of Santa Maria; sister Marsha Hill (Jack) of Pagosa Springs, Colorado; nieces Korie Newman (Todd) of Cayucos and Kara Johns (Captain Sherman Johns) currently in the Netherlands; also a nephew, Kody Hill (Carri) of Pagoda Springs, Colorado and cousin Carla Grabil Greene (Bruce) of Valencia.
Marc will not have the pleasure of seeing his daughter Stevie get married in Massachusetts on September 17.
His mother extends special thanks to Leo, Christopher, Dan, Rolie and Dr. Mario San Bartolome for their kindness and support during this time and to her dear friends in Santa Maria and Arroyo Grande who were so supportive during these trying times.

Arroyo Grande resident Marc Steven Lundgren, 61, died Sunday, September 4, 2011 at his home in Arroyo Grande.
Mr. Lundgren was born in Santa Maria, CA to Mary and Lester Lundgren. Marc was always a hard worker. At a very early age, he learned how to fix almost anything.
Mr. Lundgren worked for the Lucia Mar Unified School District for over ten years and was a member of the Carpenter's Union. He will be remembered as the father, neighbor, and friend who was always there to lend a helping hand and could always make you laugh.
He is survived by his two daughters, Stevie Lee Lundgren (Taylor) and Bailey Jean Lundgren.
At his request, no service will be held.
