Mackie Langenbeck, 42, passed away Wednesday, Aug. 10, 2011, at Nacimiento Lake in Paso Robles. He was the owner of Performance Construction in Paso Robles. His life was working construction, the lake and all of his friends and family. He was a free spirit, protector of friends and mentored young people on projects. Mackie, you were loved by so many and will be greatly missed. Mackie was survived by his mother, Kathleen Langenbeck of Pismo Beach; father, Stanley Langenbeck (Norma) of Visalia, Calif.; brother, Jeffrey Kymla (Laura) of Costa Mesa, Calif.; nephew, Evan J. Kymla of Costa Mesa; niece, Brittany McLemore, of Irvine, Calif.; uncles Bob Gilmore (Donna) of Fallbrook, Calif., Gordon Langenbeck (Heide) of Grants Pass, Ore., and Ken Van Dyke (Roberta) of Oakdale, Calif.; aunt, Marilynn Poillon (Pete), of Yucca Valley, Calif.; and many extended family and so many friends. He was predeceased by his grandparents Chester and Helen Langenbeck and John and Virginia Gilmore. There will be a celebration of his life at 11 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 27, 2011, at the Living Waters Church, Heritage Ranch, Nacimiento Lake in Paso Robles, with a barbecue following at the Heritage Ranch Recreational Center on Equestrian Way. Dress casual and come and celebrate Mackie''s life with family and friends. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the American Heart Association , 1371 Pacific St., San Luis Obispo, CA 93401; or your favorite charity.
