Linda Marie Castro - Calvert
Date of Birth: March 19, 1966
Date of Death: August 10, 2009
Memberships: Member - New Life Community Church of the Nazarene
Fellowshiped with Calvary Chapel, Grace Bible, and Foursquare
Biography:
Linda was born in Whittier, California to Jim and Lorraine Calvert. She was the second of three with sister Barbara Coffman, and brother Michael Calvert. They resided in Pomona and Rowland Heights before they moved up to Grover Beach in 1979 where she graduated from Arroyo Grande High School in 1984. She became married to Kenneth Castro and from there started their family with Christa (22), Austin (20), Katelyn (18) and Tyler (16)
Her favorite phrase was "Praise God!'
People always say that there's always a rainbow after the storm, but Carl Hoss's mom always said, "Life is not waiting on the storm to pass, it's about learning to dance in the rain"

You see, if you rejoice during the storm, you'll never even notice when it passes. And Linda was just that. Through all of her lifes storms, she praised God. Even when you called to tell her about your storm, she praised God and taught us ALL...."to dance in the rain"

Memorial Services will be held on Tuesday August 18th at 1:00 at the New Life Community Church of the Nazarene in the Lifecenter Buiding, reception immediately following in the Vertex Bldg. across the street east of the post office.

In liu of flowers, you may make a donation to the "Linda Calvert-Castro Memorial Fund" at any Rabobank in California to help cover the costs accrued by the family.

I met Linda when her son, Austin and my son became friends in elementary school. She lit up the room when she entered it. She was an amazing mother, reaching each of her children right where they were with patience and understanding. I miss you my friend.

Linda was always so sweet and even though she struggled with her health she never complained and always praised her GOD through it all. I miss you, Linda. You are an inspiration to me.

I have only just learned of Linda's passing, while trying to locate her sister Barbara, and I am so terribly sorry to hear this news and my heartfelt prayers are with all who grieve the loss of this shining light in our world! And I will especially be praying during the soon coming anniversary of her passing. And Barbara, if you're reading this, I left my email here and I pray you will contact me soon. All my love & prayers, ALWAYS!
