Kenneth Eugene Sylvester,
64, of Oceano, was born in March 1949 to Thurston Jr. and Stella
Sylvester in Porterville, Calif., and passed away after a brief illness on
Wednesday, Jan. 29, 2014. He lived most of his life in Oceano and attended
local schools. Ken was in the U.S. Army and served in Vietnam. He
was a member of the Oceano Eagles, Moose Lodge and American Legion. Ken is
survived by his father Thurston; two sons, Dale, of Arroyo Grande; and Dustin of
Prospect, Ore.; two stepchildren David Springs and Tabitha Williams; and two
sisters Edith Muller (Jim) of Billings, Mont.; and Beverly Huddleston (Chuck)
of Nipomo. A graveside service will be held for Ken at 2 p.m. Friday, Feb. 7,
2014, at the Los Osos Valley Memorial Park.
