ARROYO GRANDE John Scott Allen, 17, died Thursday, Sept. 20 in an Arroyo Grande hospital as a result of a motorcycle accident. Graveside services were held at 11 a.m. Monday, Sept. 24 at the Arroyo Grande Cemetery with the Rev. Glenn Peters officiating. He was born on Aug. 28, 1967 in San Luis Obispo and was a senior at Arroyo Grande High School. He is survived by his parents, Fred and Barbara Allen of Arroyo Grande; his grandmother, Madge Irene Allen of Nipomo; four sisters, Doris (Dee) Elkins of Arroyo Grande, Lynn Church of Hanford, Jane Elvins of Grass Valley and Fredda Allen of Arroyo Grande. Memorial donation may be made to Woods Humane Society. Services were under the direction of the Wood-Voakes Mortuary in Arroyo Grande.

I met "Scott" my freshmen year at AG. I used to hang out with him and Danny Petersen. He was on his way home from Danny's house when he got in his accident. I found out the next day that he did'nt make it home. I can't come up with the words to decribe the sadness I felt when I got the news. It hurts so bad to loose a good friend. I really felt bad for Danny. He was pretty tore up...I always think of Scott when I drive on hwy 1 where the accident was. I'll never forget you Scott. RIP.

My experience is very much like Robert's. I was severely shocked when I heard of Scott's accident and immediately thought of how hard Danny must have taken it. I also think of it every time I pass that curve on Highway 1.

I loved you Scott still do you were one of my older brothers. Still think of you as one rip Scott .
