Jeffrey "Jeff" Lee Stuart, 64, of Amsterdam, New York, passed peacefully into rest on September 21, 2022, in the comfort of his home.
Born to parents Charles and Helen (Odom) Stuart on April 9, 1958, Jeff's childhood began in Kentucky before moving to Shell Beach, CA where he was raised by his mother and stepfather Theil Collette. A graduate of Arroyo Grande High School, Jeff was only 19 when he began his 40+ career in the car business.
On Christmas Day 2008, Jeff married the love of his life, the former Dawn Girard. They lived in Richmond for a while before settling down in Amsterdam, NY. Dawn and Jeff shared a special bond. They loved to take day trips and enjoyed, what they called, "window moments".
Now some people work to live but Jeff lived to work! Jeff was a Ford man through and through and formed many wonderful friendships with his colleagues at Browns and then Latham Ford. Most everyone there would call him Radar and it was a name that stuck! His sense of humor, relatability, and bright mind will be missed.
Survivors include his wife, Dawn Marie (Girard) Stuart; his children: Tabatha Alvis (Robert Gennett), Nathaniel Latimer, and Francis Latimer; grandchildren: Robert Wade, Mason Alvis, Gianna Latimer, Caleb Latimer, and Izabella Latimer; his siblings: Michael Ray Stuart (Diane) and Walter Lynn Collette (Laura).
Jeff was pre-deceased by his parents, Charles and Helen, and his stepfather Theil Dee Collette.
Special thanks to Community Hospice, especially Amanda and Suzanne.
Cremation took place through the care of Simple Choices, Inc. Family and friends are invited to join us in a Celebration of Life on Sunday, October 9th from 2pm-5pm at the Farmer Boy Diner, located at 1975 Central Ave, Albany, NY 12205. Light refreshments will be available as we visit and share stories in remembrance.
