Jeffrey Mark Milne, San Luis Obispo High School, CA
Class of 1973
Jeffrey Mark Milne
Washington, UT
Jeffrey passed away due to kidney and liver failure, just before 1 AM, Sunday, March 9, 2014, at his parent's home in Washington, UT.
Jeff was born in St. Luke's Hospital, Pasadena, CA, April 28, 1955, the second child, second son of his parents, Clinton and Lorraine C. Milne. Educated in the California public school system he went on to California Polytechnic Univ., in San Luis Obispo, and then to BYU in Provo, UT where he received his degree in Geology. As a geologist he worked with various companies, as well as independently, mainly in the development of oil and gas wells. He was very gifted with the ability to explain difficult concepts in a kind understandable way to those not so knowledgeable, and he was always especially gracious to the elderly and little children.
He loved Hawaii and so wished he could live there --- but above all else he loved his family the most, and was very proud of them. He is survived by his children: Megan (Tiernan Dunmeyer) of Logan, UT, Corry Michael (Johnna Bramblett) of Grover Beach, CA, Kevin Paul (Crystal Wild) of San Luis Obispo, CA, and Casey Mark of Ventura, CA. At present these children have given him seven grandchildren: Kalin, Grace, Rose, Clover, Huxley, Nali and Indie --- each one the apple of his eye!
In addition to his parents Jeff is also survived by his siblings: Gregory (Barbi) of Lompoc, CA, Ann (Ron Wight) of Benton City, WA, and Paul (Susan) of Porterville, CA, plus many nieces and nephews.
At his request cremation has taken place and there will be no funeral. However, an informal memorial will be held for friends, family, and friends of the family on the 28th of April (his birthday) amid the red cliffs of Southern Utah, and he has asked that everyone keep it simple, wear muumuus, flip-flops, and/or Hawaiian shirts and spend the time remembering the happy, loving times.
