Jason A. Bair, 23, of Nipomo, died Feb. 5, 1995, in a Palo Alto hospital. A service was held at 10 a.m. Thursday, Feb. 9, in the chapel of Magner-Maloney Funeral Home in Santa Maria with the Rev. Robert Ainsworth of New Life Community Church officiating. Interment followed in Santa Maria Cemetery. Visitation were Wednesday, Feb. 8, from 4 to 8 p.m. Mr. Barr was born Oct. 15,1971, in Santa Maria and raised in Nipomo. He was a 1990 graduate of Arroyo Grande High School and member of the wrestling team, lettering in the sport. After graduation, he attended Allan Hancock College and began working as a bank teller with Mid-State Bank and at Central Coast National Bank. Mr. Barr was a former umpire and player of Little League Baseball in Nipomo for several years. He served as a counselor at Cystic Fibrosis camps in Orange County and San Diego. He is survived by his parents, Harold and Georgia Barr of Nipomo; his brother, Phillip Bryan Barr of Conway, Ark ; sister Carrie Barr of Nipomo, Cinda Barr of Santa Maria, Casandra Johnson of Arroyo Grande, Brandy E. Barr of Fairbanks, Alaska, and Leanne Barr of Nipomo, and his grandfather, George M. Bae of Nipomo.
