Jason A. Bair, 23, of Nipomo, died Feb. 5, 1995, in a Palo Alto hospital. A service was held at 10 a.m. Thursday, Feb. 9, in the chapel of Magner-Maloney Funeral Home in Santa Maria with the Rev. Robert Ainsworth of New Life Community Church officiating. Interment followed in Santa Maria Cemetery. Visitation were Wednesday, Feb. 8, from 4 to 8 p.m. Mr. Barr was born Oct. 15,1971, in Santa Maria and raised in Nipomo. He was a 1990 graduate of Arroyo Grande High School and member of the wrestling team, lettering in the sport. After graduation, he attended Allan Hancock College and began working as a bank teller with Mid-State Bank and at Central Coast National Bank. Mr. Barr was a former umpire and player of Little League Baseball in Nipomo for several years. He served as a counselor at Cystic Fibrosis camps in Orange County and San Diego. He is survived by his parents, Harold and Georgia Barr of Nipomo; his brother, Phillip Bryan Barr of Conway, Ark ; sister Carrie Barr of Nipomo, Cinda Barr of Santa Maria, Casandra Johnson of Arroyo Grande, Brandy E. Barr of Fairbanks, Alaska, and Leanne Barr of Nipomo, and his grandfather, George M. Bae of Nipomo. Memorial contributions may be made to the Jason Barr Wrestling Scholarship Fund, Arroyo Grande High School, 495 Valley Road,, Arroyo Grande 93420, Attn: Jeanette Krystoff.

I remember Jason, we rode the same bus home from school a lot. He use to sign my yearbook Mr. Goodbar. He was a good guy.

I don't think Jason really knew me, but I remember him. He and my son were on the H.S. wrestling team. I'll never forget his courage and team spirit.
I am sure others that remember him will recall his fine qualities.

I went to school with his sister and remember him well.We played on the same baseball team.I drive by his home every day on my way to work.He is now and always will be mist.

He was a stellar guy that always had a smile on his face for you and something funny to say. I think of him every time I drive by his old house in Nipomo. Jason, your missed. As Jason would say "See ya around stinky"! lol, I'lL never forget him.

I will never forget Jason. He was so smart, funny and extremely kind. He was one of the most sweetest guys I ever met!
