Please Feel Free To Leave A Comment Or A Memory You Had With Jim~
On Wednesday, June 19, 2013, Jim was taken too soon from his family and friends while doing the job he loved. He was 50 years old. Jim graduated from San Luis Obispo High School in 1980. He was a popular, well-respected mechanic for many years in San Luis Obispo. He was an avid train enthusiast and realized his life-long dream when he attended railroad training and became a conductor, and later, engineer in the Bay Area. In 2008, he fell in love with Sarah Ayala from San Jose, Calif., and they married May 2, 2009. They enjoyed traveling to many places together. Jim is survived by his wife, Sarah; stepson Chris Ayala; four-footed companions Charley and Pebbles; sisters Jan Clarke and Barbara Cheves of San Luis Obispo; and many nieces and nephews, who affectionately called him "Uncle Wads." He was predeceased by his parents, Bob and Phyllis Wadstrup; and sister, Linda Wadstrup Bianculli. A celebration of life will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday, June 29, 2013, at Oak Hill Funeral Home and Memorial Park in San Jose.
