Please Feel Free To Leave A Comment Or A Memory You Had With Ida~
Ida Oronoz Stone, 56, passed away peacefully after a brief courageous battle with lung cancer Wednesday, Dec. 25, 2013, at home with her husband at her side. Ida was born in San Luis Obispo and had been a lifelong native of the county. She owned and operated a commercial embroidery company in Templeton, An Image in Stone, through which she proudly supplied many local charities with her works of love. Ida had a gigantic heart - anything she could do to help someone in need, she would do it with a smile on her face. She donated her time and talent for many organizations and charities throughout the county. Ida was a wonderful mother to her three children and over time, became an exceptional grandmother. She had five granddaughters who thought the world of her. She supported them through all of their endeavors, including her shared love of softball. Ida is survived by her husband, Chuck Stone; three children Carol Karlak-Swigert (Alan), Katie Karlak-Stone (Jeff) and Kevin Karlak; and five granddaughters Cheyenne, Dalyce, Mikayla, Rheagan and Isabella. She is also survived by her mother, Susan Blakely; sister, Cindy Oronoz; brother, Ernie Oronoz, numerous nieces, nephews and cousins; and by a life's worth of friends and colleagues she touched along her journey. She was preceded in death by her father, Ernest Oronoz; and sister, Debbie Oronoz. Per Ida's request, and holding true to the free spirit that she was in life, her ashes were spread at sea off the California Coast with the fog rolling out and the sun shining just as she was set free. Everyone who knew her knew how much she truly loved to help people. To keep Ida's spirit alive, the next time you are able to help someone in need, do it in her honor. Follow her footsteps and you will live a life full of happiness with her smiling down on you. If you always give, you will always have.
