 Dennis Lee Banks of Heritage Ranch passed away April 5, 2015, at St. Johns Hospital in Santa Monica, he was 68 years old. Dennis was born in July 1946, to parents Raymond and Verna in San Jose, California. He graduated from Arroyo Grande High School in 1964 and shortly thereafter served his country in the Vietnam War, where he earned several medals including the Bronze Star with Oak Leaf Cluster and the Purple Heart. After graduating from Cal Poly (San Luis), his career as a CPA took him to many international destinations which inspired a lifelong love of travel. He had a wide range of interests including photography, sports cars, gun collecting, football, fine wines and all things western. He particularly enjoyed his residence at Heritage Ranch, retiring there several years ago, while dividing his time in Rawlins, Wyoming. He is preceded in death by his parents and survived by his sister, JoAnn; brother, Kenneth; nephew, Brian; niece, Lauren; great-nieces, Alison and Emily; former spouse, Janice and lifelong friends, Frank Wagoner and Terry Latham. His legendary attention to detail, love of adventure and unique sense of humor will be greatly missed, rest in peace Dennis. Services will be held on Saturday, May 30, at 10:00am at the Paso Robles District Cemetery where he will be interred.
