Daniel (Scott) Reed
Scott passed away on April 30, 2011. Scott was at home when he passed surrounded by family and friends. He was born in Santa Maria, California at Sisters Hospital on July 23, 1958 to his parents John P. Reed and Bobbie D. Biely.
Nipomo, California was where Scott was raised and graduated from Arroyo Grande High School in 1976. Scott played Little League Ball in Nipomo. He truly was a sport nut. The Dodgers were his favorite baseball team. He also had wanderlust and moved around many states in his adult life. He walked and hitchhiked from Sandpoint, Idaho to Santa Maria, California.
He finally met the love of his life, Cheryl, while visiting Bull Head City, Arizona.
Scott is survived by his mother Bobbie Biely, sisters: Gail Crane (Don), Sue Ruffoni (Mike), Donna Shannon, brothers: Tim Stewart, Duffy Reed (Marie), Ernest Reed, Tim Reed, Mike Reed and his girlfriend Cheryl Finlay, as well as numerous nieces and nephews whom he loved dearly.
He is preceded in death by his father John Paul Reed.
Scott will be sorely missed.
A graveside service will be held at the Santa Maria Cemetery on Friday, May 6, 2011at 2:30 p.m.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in his name to any charity of your choice.
Arrangements are under the direction of Dudley-Hoffman Mortuary, Crematory and Memory Gardens
