Daniel Adame Garcia passed away Thursday, Jan. 23, 2014,
with family members by his side holding his hands.
Daniel, known to friends and family as "Danny," was
born in Fullerton, Calif., to Mr. and Mrs. Garcia, who had been married over 50
years. Danny resided in Las Barros with his girlfriend, Denise King. He had
been a Union Painter with Local 52 for over 30 years. He passed his painters
apprentice around 1982 with Local 1336. Danny attended Grover (City) Beach
Elementary School, Pismo Beach Junior High School and Arroyo Grande High
School. He loved the beach, especially the dunes. He recalled having ridden
from the Pismo Dunes all the way to Point Sal, never having left the dunes,
with his uncles. Daniel worked in Hawaii for several years as a painter
supervisor - he loved the fishing and scuba diving there. He quit his job in
Hawaii to come home to help care for our ill mother. Danny is survived by
daughters Danielle Frye and Shana Garcia; grandson, Roger; siblings Alfonso and
Steven and Irene Weaver; five nieces and nephews and; and four great nieces and
nephews. A new niece arrived, Temperance, born 8 a.m., 6 lbs, 15 oz., Saturday,
Jan. 18, 2014 '? although he never saw, he heard all about her. ALL IS GOOD! A
memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, Jan. 31, 2014, at
Marshall-Spoo Sunset Funeral Chapel, 1239 Longbranch in Grover Beach.
