Dale Samuel Ashburn of Paso Robles died May 27, 1992, at his home at the age of 34. A graveside service will be held Saturday, May 30, at 2 p.m. at the Arroyo Grande Cemetery with Father Al Syslo of the Monterey Diocese officiating. Mr. Ashburn was born Jan. 28, 1958, in Long Beach, and had been a county resident since 1959. He was a graduate of Arroyo Grande High School and a former member of the First United Methodist Church in Arroyo Grande. He was the general manager of San Luis Ambulance Service. He began his employment with San Luis Ambulance upon graduation from high school and retired in 1991. He was an avid traveler. Survivors include his parents: Ted and June Ashburn of Grover City; brothers: Ted and and wife Linda Ashburn of Nipomo and Roy and his wife Diane Ashburn of Bakersfield; a grandmother: Mary Plant of Arroyo Grande; six nieces and one nephew; and several aunts and uncles. Memorials may be directed to AIDS Support Network, P.O. Box 12158, San Luis Obispo, 93406. Arrangements are under the direction of the Lady Family Mortuary of Arroyo Grande.
