Published: October 5, 2011
A Paso Robles woman was killed in a two-car accident after she apparently lost control of her vehicle Wednesday morning along Nacimiento Lake Road, according to the California Highway Patrol.
Cynthia Huntsberger, 63, died after a head-on collision about 9:30 a.m. west of Frazier Road with a vehicle driven by Alicia Kropp, 40, of Paso Robles. Kropp was not hurt, according to a CHP news release.
The CHP said Huntsberger was driving east at an unknown rate of speed when her 2001 Toyota Echo drifted right, left the roadway and went onto the adjoining dirt. In trying to correct, she veered left and sent the Echo into a counterclockwise spin.
“At this point, she lost control,” according to the CHP report, and “her vehicle traveled across the eastbound lane and into the westbound (lane), directly into the path of the of Kropp’s 2006 Ford F-350 pickup.
