BRIDGETTE
MARIE (GROSE) SALAMA 1968-2009 Bridgette was born to Christina F. (Kelly) Grose and Kenneth L. Grose on March 21st, 1968 at Arroyo Grande Community Hospital, Arroyo Grande California. She grew up as the youngest child in the family with six other siblings all of whom were at least five years older. She was truly the "baby" of the household and was nurtured by all. In the years eight through seventeen she excelled at Softball as a catcher. By her 12th year all of her brothers and sister were grown and Bridgette and her father Kenneth lived in Santa Maria where she attended Lakeview Jr. High and graduated from Righetti High School as an all CIF catcher. Bridgette was married in 1988 and a beautiful baby girl was born to Bridgette and Bill Duggins. Her name was Ashley Elizabeth and she was greatly loved by Bridgette. As a mom Bridgette was always busy with Ashley at every point in her life - preschool to her now sophomore year in high school. The essence of a kind person is a person that NEVER says anything bad about anyone, and that was Bridgette. In the year 2006 Bridgette became re-acquainted with Charles Salama, an old childhood friend. After an extended illness Bridgette and Charles Salama began their new life together on May 26th of 2007, at the "View" of Morro Bay Golf Course. This beautiful couple became "soul mates" in marriage and worked hard together to overcome their health hardships. Bridgette loved cooking and wanted to be a chef. Bridgette was preceded in death by her loving older brother Mark de Mandel, March 14th, 2008. The Angels are joined by another as Bridgette leaves us bodily, but not in spirit. Bridgette is survived by her daughter Ashley E. Duggins, mother Christina Kelly, sister Kimberly Okerson, brothers Eric and Jack de Mandel, brothers Keith and Kenny Grose, father Kenneth L. Grose, her dear husband Charles Salama, son C.J Salama and numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, and nephews. A memorial service will be held 1 :00 p.m. Friday, February 20th, 2009 at Mar-shall-Spoo Sunset Funeral Chapel, 1239 Longbranch Avenue, Graver Beach, Ca 93433. (805) 489-5552.
