I believe he was stabbed. Bill was a really nice guy, we became really good friends but he just got caught up in the wrong crowd.So sad!!!

I heard he was found shot to death...not sure if suicide or murder but I think murder is most suspected

The police ruled it suicide, I believe... I remember someone telling me the weapon was found in a dresser drawer, so everyone kept saying that it was murder and the report was inaccurate.
NOT factual, just sharing what I remembered!

Oh Billy, I still have such a hard time with the fact that you are gone...I remember the day they came to the house to tell me what had happened, it feels like yesturday....I miss you!

Yep he was shot. There were 2 different stories as to what happend, but the one that I do believe true is murder. It was a sad time. I have lots of memories with Billy and cruzin in his little black truck crankin RATT through Pismo. (((RIP)) Billy we all miss you so much!!

you can find danny racing at the santa maria speedway occasionally. i got to meet billy at a party at port san luis. he backed into my new truck and tried to run lol. we caught him hiding in the bathrooms at the pier. i recognized him as the boyfriend of kerrie scofield so i gave him a break. turned out to be a great friend. oh and danny is hard to recognize because he doesnt have a lot of hair left lol!!

Dario- I remember that night at Port San Luis. I want to say I was there but it was such a long time ago! Billy was murdered. I am not positive as to how the coroner ruled his death, but it was definitely not a suicide. There was evidence of a struggle and he was shot at point blank range. He had so much to look forward to and was getting ready to go on a trip with his family. He was building "our house", had just purchased a new truck, and wanted to have a family. It's really nice to see such nice comments. He was a truly wonderful person and will always be remembered.

It was suicide not murder, he shot himself in the dining room of his parents home, the gun recoiled and went into the drawer the drawer was shut by paramedics trying to get to him. I saw the police report I was working as a dispatcher at the time. Last I heard about Danny about 1 year ago he was still hanging with the wrong crowd! Billy came by to see me about a week before he died, he said goodbye to me. I realized after his death why he came by. He struggled with depression for years, we dated in 2007.

OMG! I had no idea! I had been thinking about him this past year, as I had in the past, every so often wondering what he was up to, and found his name on this website. I knew Bill through high school and then moved away from the area. I ran into Bill a few years after I moved away from the area and we hung out together again in the valley. I will miss you Bill! You were a very sweet guy, you lost your best friend, and you just couldn't seem to find true happiness. I wish I could have helped you out, had I kept in touch with you. You will truly be missed by all.
