."Addy" had just graduated from Arroyo Grande High School, and those who knew her said her laugh and smile will stay with them forever.

People who knew and loved "Addy" are grief-stricken. They said they keep expecting to wake up from a horrible dream.

A memorial fund has been set up in Addison's honor. Memorial donations can be made to the Addison Decker Memorial Fund at any Washington Mutual Bank.

ADDISON "ADDY" LEE DECKER
1990 - 2008

Beloved Addy, Daughter of Victoria Jennings and Jim Decker passed away on Thursday July 17, 2008 at 10:00pm in Pismo Beach, CA. She was born September 20, 1990 at Sierra Vista Hospital in San Luis Obispo CA, and she lived her life in Shell Beach, CA. Addy went to Shell Beach Elementary School, Judkins Middle School and just recently graduated Arroyo Grande High. Addy played Five Cities Softball from an early age. She played on many all-star and club teams throughout California and Hawaii. She also played Jr. High and Freshman Volleyball as well as Jr. High Basketball. In High School, she took up surfing and enjoyed her time in the ocean. Academically, Addy excelled, receiving Presidential Awards and repeatedly receiving honors. She worked at Alex's BBQ for 2 years and made many friends there. Addy was the bright spot in her mother's life. She made her laugh and made her cry, but there was no greater gift than her beautiful smile and striking blue eyes. Addy is survived by her mother, Victoria Jennings of Shell Beach; father, James Decker of Arroyo Grande; Aunt Denise and Uncle Ben Carter; Aunt Marie and Uncle Mike Jennings. Her cousins; Brian, Kendra, Taylor , Alannah, Tessa, and Maxwell, as well as many friends in the community. A memorial service will be held at La Perla Del Mar, Shell Beach Church, 205 Windward Ave., Shell Beach, Ca. 93449 on Wednesday, July 23, at 11:00am. A Celebration of Addy's life and free spirit will be held immediately following the service at the San Luis Obispo Country Club. Please come and share this special time with us. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Addison Decker Memorial Fund at any Washington Mutual Bank, account number 9344511913. Arrangements by Lady Family Mortuary, Arroyo Grande. I've known her since we were in Elementary school. We went to the YMCA together..She was such a happy person all the time. Heartbroken to hear she was taken from us.

i've known addy most of my life. we played softball together since we were little girls. the phone call i got on the morning following her accident broke my heart. she was a beautiful person and a wonderful soul no matter what. tomorrow you will have been gone two years addy-baby, and i think about you everyday. love you girl.<3
