Adam Nicolas Martinez Sr., 49, of Oceano, passed away suddenly Friday, Jan. 17, 2014, at the Arroyo Grande Community Hospital. He graduated from Arroyo Grande High School Class of 1982. Adam is survived by his two children: son, Adam Nicolas Martinez Jr.; daughter, Nicole Jessica Martinez of Paso Robles; parents Nicolas and Anna Martinez of Oceano; fiance, Debbie Lee Weichinger; stepchildren Leticia and Patricia Weichinger; and grandchildren Joshua, Liliana and Ariana of Arroyo Grande. He is also survived by his two sisters Yolanda Hiriarte (Jorge) of Oceano; Ernestine Rasheal "Bizzie" Conver (James) of Santa Maria: nephews Mark Anthony Vasquez and family of Las Vegas, Nev.; Carlos Antonio Caro and family of Panama City, Fla.; nieces Sonia Alicia Diaz and family of Santa Maria; Lorena Veronica Cramins and family of Nipomo; Victoria Ruby Hiriarte of Oceano; Tyjanna Rasheal Bourgeois and family of Winchester, Calif.; numerous great nephews and nieces; and his dog, Rocky Martinez. He was preceded in death by an infant brother, Nicholas Trinadad Martinez. Visitation will be from 1 to 5 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 29, 2014, at Marshall-Spoo Sunset Funeral Chapel, 1239 Longbranch in Grover Beach. The recitation of the rosary will begin at 7p.m. later that evening at St. Patrick's Catholic Church, 501 Fair Oaks in Arroyo Grande. The Mass of Christian burial will be at 10 a.m. Thursday, Jan. 30, 2014, also at St. Patrick's Church, followed by burial at the Arroyo Grande Cemetery.
