A memorial fund has been established to help Castro’s family with costs.

Donations can be made at any Rabobank branch to Tatiana’s Memorial Fund.

Castro was a Santa Maria native who had just become a dental assistant after finishing her schooling for the profession, according to her obituary.

She graduated from Santa Maria High School in 2011.

She had a flair for writing and loved the outdoors and spending time with her nieces.

Loved ones described Castro as “bubbly, outgoing and admired by all who knew her.”

Castro was a proud Jehovah’s Witness who enjoyed sharing the Bible with others.

A memorial service for Castro will be held on a date that has yet to be specified.
