He grew up in Vallejo,  and graduated from Vallejo Senior High School, where he also attended  college. He grew up in Vallejo,  and graduated from Vallejo Senior High School, where he also attended  college. Jim started a career with PG&amp;E at the age of 19 and during  that time served in the Army&nbsp; Reserves. He retired from PG&amp;E as a superintendent after 34 years of service.</span><br /><span style="font-style: italic;"></span><br /><span style="font-style: italic;">He  is survived by his loving wife, Pauline, with whom he spent many years  farming fruits and vegetables on their property in Oakley, Ca., where  Jim was fondly known in the community as "The Avocado Man".</span><br /><span style="font-style: italic;"></span><br /><span style="font-style: italic;">Jim  was preceded in death by his parents; Benjamin and Claudine Dehn;  sisters, Bernice "Birdie" Townsend, Marjorie Fegley, and Barbara Ratto.</span><br /><span style="font-style: italic;"></span><br /><span style="font-style: italic;">He  is survived by his wife, Pauline, of Arroyo Grande, CA.; daughter,  Nancy (Paul) Fontenot of Minden Nevada; stepchildren, Teri (David)  Polastri of Guilford, CT., Karen (Vern) Fletcher of Grover Beach, CA.  and Don 'Donnie' (Lynette) Young of Napa, CA.
