He made
friends in the many places he lived and kept track of everyone,
even before Facebook. A graduate of Arroyo Grande High School,
he was a past resident of Channel Islands, Calif., where his skills
and love for the water intensified. A special thank you to the many
doctors who kept Cameron''s heart strong these past 10 years and friends
who were part of his support group, his long list of friends from Channel
Islands Harbor, Five Cities and beyond. The outpouring of messages will
be held close to our hearts. Cameron was survived by his children Justin
and Aaron McFarland; supported always by Justin and Aaron''s mother,
Cindy Lynn McFarland; parents, William Gary and Sydney McFarland; father,
John Stewart Rail; brother, William "Wesley" McFarland; nephew, Kelly;
niece, Hannah McFarland; and extended families of the Fuller, Gregory and
Gaffney families. A memorial service will be held at 1p.m. Saturday, Jan. 23, 2010,
the Edgewater Inn, 280 Wadsworth in Pismo Beach. Cameron''s wish was to be
cremated. Come spring fair winds and gentle seas, the family will take his last ''sail''
to his final resting place off the Channel Islands. In lieu of flowers, a college fund
has been set for Justin (19) and Aaron (16), to which donations are being accepted
by any RaboBank.
